4th and 5th Grade Band
Band at Indian Lane is open to any 4th or 5th-grade student interested in learning how to play a brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument. Lessons are during CE in small groups.
Both the 4th and 5th-grade bands perform concerts as a large ensemble in addition to their regularly scheduled lessons.

Adaptive Intramurals Bocce Club
Adaptive Intramurals Bocce Club
Special Olympics is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. Students will be participating in Bocce Ball.
Bocce Club meets on Thursdays after school from 3:30 to 4:30 from October through December.
Students 8 years of age or older and Fifth Grade Buddies can participate.

Broadcast Club
Broadcast Club
The Broadcast Club produces daily morning announcements, News On The Lane. Students rotate through jobs including reporter, special reporter, and director. Students learn about the editing process, green screens, teleprompters, and much more. This club is open to all fifth grade students.
Students will receive a schedule with dates and job assignments.

Garden Club
Garden Club
The Garden Club educates students in fourth and fifth grades in the basics of gardening. This club works to keep our Kelly Courtyard and school grounds looking beautiful during the Fall and Spring months.
Meetings are Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 in Fall & Spring.

mILES Running Club
The mILES Running Club promotes running and fitness for 4th and 5th graders. We will work to teach students how to stretch before and after, as well as work on team building and community while exercising.
Meetings are Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 beginning in April.

Reading Olympics
Reading Olympics
Reading Olympics is a club for students in fourth and fifth grades who enjoy reading. Each student who joins is expected to read a minimum of ten books from the list of books selected by the Delaware County Intermediate Unit.
Reading Olympics teams meet in-person before school a few times a month to discuss the books and prepare to compete in a county-wide competition against other schools in Delaware County. The competition date will be announced in February and will take place in late March or early April.

The Sketchbook Cub is designed to complement the sketchbook work that is accomplished in the art classroom. This club is open to fifth grade students and meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. from October through May.

STEAM Club at Middletown Free Library
All Indian Lane families are invited to join Mrs. Hatton and Mr. Jason at the Middletown Free Library for STEAM stations. Some popular activities include 3Doodlers, Cubelets, Ozobots, Lego stop motion movie making, and much more.
Meetings are after school from 4:30 to 5:30. Dates will be available soon.

Student Council
Student Council
Student Council fifth grade officers and classroom representatives organize, support, and promote many Indian Lane activities and community events. Some of the Student Council projects are Polar Pop, Chuck and Duck, Media Food Bank food drives, and Comfort Bags on our Day of Service.
Meetings are the first Friday of each month at 8:00 a.m. in Dr. Sitkowski's classroom.

Young Engineers Club
Students in this club will get the hands-on engineer experience while creating something from concept to completion. This collaborative experience teaches the value of teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Additionally, students will have time to create and explore on their own.
This club is open to second and third graders. Space is limited.
Meetings are Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30. Each grade level will meet one time per month.
