Anime Club
The Anime Club is a space to share your favorite anime and manga with other people who also love anime and manga. Activities may include watching anime during our meetings, talking about shows that are currently airing, presenting and sharing our favorite anime, and much more!

Black Social Society
The Black Social Society (BSS) at Penncrest High School is a student organization dedicated to celebrating Black culture, history, and excellence while fostering a supportive community. Through discussions, events, and activities, the club addresses topics such as social justice, mental health, leadership, and college readiness. BSS also hosts college tours, community service projects, and cultural celebrations to empower students and promote equity and inclusion. It provides a safe, inclusive space for all students to connect, grow, and advocate for positive change within their school and community.

Emanon
Emanon (no name backward) is Penncrest High School’s Theatre Club. Emanon performs three shows a year, seasonally. While we always need actors, it takes many hands to put on a show. We are looking for people to join our team in all of the following areas: performing, tech (lights and sound) art direction, set building, costume/makeup, props, and stage crew. Earn points throughout your Emanon career to be inducted into the International Thespians Society (ITS). FBLA
FBLA
FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. Each student, “competitor”, will be assigned a competitive event that focuses on an area in business (ex: finance, business math, economics, etc.). Students will complete at the regional, state, and national level.

The Gryphon
The Gryphon, Penncrest's Literary Magazine, is published once a year, in the spring. Throughout the academic year any student may submit stories, poems, essays, artwork and photography to be considered for publication by the Gryphon editorial staff, which is comprised of interested Penncrest students of all ages.

Hi-Q
Hi-Q
Delco Hi-Q is the oldest running Academic Quizzing competition in the U.S.. 21 high schools participate in Delco Hi-Q. Each team has up to twelve members and each school hosts one contest during the regular season. Team standings are determined by total cumulative team points. Teams are tested in the following categories: American History, American government, Art history, Biology, Chemistry, Current events, Geography, Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Shakespeare, and World History. We spend a lot of time studying together and enjoy being an academic team.

History Day Club
National History Day (NHD) is an annual event in the United States that encourages students to engage in historical research, critical thinking, and creative expression. It involves a local/regional competition that winners may then advance to state, and if successful, culminates in a national competition where students showcase their work on a history-related topic.

International Club
International Club aims to bring together individuals from different countries and cultures. The club's primary focus is to promote cross-cultural understanding, celebrate diversity, and provide a space for international students and individuals interested in global affairs to connect with one another. A major yearly event typically held twice a year is the Travel Through Our Tastebuds events in addition to an international film series/catalogue. Activities are ultimately determined by the club members and vary from year to year.

Model UN
Model UN
Students in the Model UN Club compete as small teams with their peers. Each team represents a foreign country at a conference (usually held at a local college or another high school) where they debate major global issues of the day against teams from other high schools. Conferences mimic the workings of the United Nations, with the ultimate goal for all student-teams to craft a proposal that addresses the issue in a practical way. This involves research, persuasive speaking, debating, listening, honing diplomatic skills, and spiffing up like an ambassador on the day of the conference.

SADD
Students Against Destructive Decisions is a club that focuses on promoting a safe environment at Penncrest and emphasizes improving the culture at our school. We focus on topics like distracted driving, drug and alcohol use, mental health, toxic relationships, addiction, and bullying. We use posters and social media to spread messages on positive behaviors. Our club has done projects to encourage seat belt wearing among students. We have also raised money for the Providence Animal Shelter through puppy petting at Pride Day.

VEX Robotics
This club is for people with an interest in mathematics, science, robotics, and design. VEX V5 is a STEM learning system designed to develop crucial problem-solving skills and computational thinking that will serve students through grade school and beyond. The goal is to plan and design a robot that can quickly and efficiently complete a task.
