• BE AWARE OF APPLICATION DEADLINES! Counselors need at least two weeks to process your applications.
• College Application Help Sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday during I/E in Ms. Allen’s Career & Counseling Office.  Sign up in the counseling office.

To send an official transcript to a college/scholarship/outside organization:

• 1. Parents/guardians must complete the Parent/Guardian PHS Permission to Release Official Records Form
  2. Students must complete the 24-25 Transcript Release and College Application Form and submit it to Mrs. Craft in the counseling office. Multiple schools can be listed on one form. Paper copies are available in the counseling office.
  3. Request your transcript when you add your colleges to your list in Naviance.

If colleges require official test scores, students must submit their SAT or ACT scores electronically from their College Board or ACT account directly to the college(s). The Penncrest Counseling Department does not forward this information.

Not all colleges accept or require a letter of recommendation. Check the college admissions website to confirm. 

• 1. Ask your teacher in person if they’d be willing to write your letter of recommendation, then provide them with the Student Brag Sheet for Teacher Letter of Recommendation form. Include any related items that they might need to write a letter for you.
  2. Request a teacher letter of recommendation through your Naviance account (Teacher LOR video or Requesting LOR instructions).
  3. If your college requires a counselor letter of recommendation, you must schedule an in-person interview with your counselor beginning in September. You will complete the Brag sheet for Counselor Letter of Recommendation and Parent/Family Brag Sheet for Counselor Letter of Recommendation. You will not request your counselor letter through Naviance.
